Current Stuff

Hey All
This weekend has been pretty thrilling. Walking home from school on Friday, some random car comes speeding around the corner and i was about 4 feet away from it! It was scary. So this lady saw it happen and another lady heard it and came out of her house. THe first lady got the liscense plate number and took my phone number and said she would call the cops and report an imparied driver. It was scary cuz i could hear screaming from the back seat of the car!
Saturday was rather dull. I slept in till 9 then watched some tv and read. From noon till 3 i babysat this really cute little 15 month old girl named Alex. It's weird how i met her mom. I was at the library last week and i walked in and the little girl was standing near the door. I looked down at her and smiled and she smiled back. So then i went to get my books and stuff. When i came to find my mom, she was talking with the little girl's mom. She was asking if i babysat and when my mom said yes, she asked for our phone number. Turns out, they had just moved to town, were looking for a babysitter and she thought Alex liked me since she smiled at me. Alex is soooo cute!
After i got home, i ate a really fast dinner then i went babysitting again for a different family in our church. They have three girls Emily, Elizabeth and Ella. The dad and girls were going to the pool but since Ella is only 2 and a half, the dad can't play with the older girls and watch Ella at the same time so i was watching her. She is super cute and calls my Kiyi cuz she can't say my real name.
Today, I went to a hockey game. My brother has a tournament this weekend so i got to sing O Canada at a game in the tournament!!!!! I have always wanted to do that so i was pretty thrilled. My dad kept saying how proud he was of me and how good i sounded and that i was awesome and that he was so proud. It was pretty funny. After i sang, i went to chruch for a little while but i had to leave early since my brother had another hockey game. At the game, i was FREEZING cold so i just sat there shivering like crazy and read. It was cool. Unfortunately, my bro's team lost but they still got second place in the tournament. When we got home from that, i ate lunch and then babysat Alex again for 2 hours.
This evening, i have another 3 hours rehearsal. I am really excited bout this one cuz this is where we got foyer pix taken. That is where they take pictures of us for the cast list thingy. We also get to try on our costumes!!!!!!! I can;t wait because the play takes place in 1905 so the costumes are huge poofy dresses and 2 inch heels! I am uber excited to see all the stuff they picked out for me!

West Ed, etc...

Hey Everybody!

West Ed was soooooo cool! I thought i would be bored since most days, i'm not big on shopping but it was sooo much fun! I got 2 new shirts and a really cute hat. I didn't, however, get much sleep. While we were there, we saw the Sea Lion show, shopped (obviously) and at the end, we were getting so bored so we went to see a movie and we saw Step Up. BEST MOVIE EVER! Well maybe not quite but it was really good! I came out of the theatre and i just wanted to dance!

Today alone, i found $0.79 on the floor at school! I am soooo happy that i can find that much money in one day! Also, today during gym class, my 3 friends Hannah, Julia, Alyssa and I played Hannah's Favorite game. It was pretty awesome especially because we had a sub so he didn;t know our names so he couldn't yell at us to get moving or anything like that cuz we were kinda playing in the middle of a soccer game. :)

The Gifts of the Magi is in full swing. On Sunday from 7-10, we had a rehearsal and we blocked the entire first act! In the theatre, there are 3 boxes at differnt levels that act as an office, Jim and Della's appartment and Mme. Safroni's shop. Behind those, there is some scaffloding which we call the bridge. It is about 8-10 feet off the ground. So, i don;t do heights very well anyways so the Drama teacher was telling us where we would start and sing the first song and inside my head I'm going "Please not the bridge! Please not the bridge!" And guess where i sing the whole first song? You guessed it: THE BRIDGE! It wouldn't be so bad except that the play is set in 1905 and so i have to get up there and stay up there in a big floor length skirt and 2 inch heels! Ugh. Plus, my opposite in the play decided not to show up for rehearsal on Sunday so now at the next rehearsal which is tomorrow, i will have to catch him up on everything! That made me kinda mad but i'm also super excited cuz i love doing this whole play thing soooo much! The whole cast is sooooo nice and they are tons of fun to work with. There are only 2 other grade 9 kids one of which is my opposite and the other is my friend and then there is 1 grade 8. He is the main character (Willy) and he is soooo cool. The rest of the cast is older than me though so i just love working with them cuz they are all fairly involed in the drama dept. so they are experienced. I will definately post pictures of the play after it runs!

Getting Excited!

Hey Everybody! I am getting really excited about going to West Edmonton Mall! I am not big on shopping though. So you're probably going uh okay then why is she going. I am going because i get to chill on the bus for 20 hours with my friends and i get to see Laura Weglo/Phillips who moved to Alberta last May after he wedding. I miss her lots and can;t wait to see her!!!!!! Here are a couple pictures of the mall! It is huge and i am pretty excited! One thing that made me very happy was the fact that we don't have to sleep 2 nights on the bus just one. THis is because we are leaving for Edmonton quite early in the morning then getting to Edmonton and sleeping in a church! That way we don;t have to fight over corners and be all squashed together. AAAH! I can;t wait!

At school, the drama dept. is putting on a Christmas play called The Gifts of the Magi. I auditioned thinking that maybe i could get a part in a choir or something but there isn't any parts in a choir so i got an individual part! I only have about 8 lines but it's a start. It does complicate my already psycho schedule. WIth babysitting, youth, choir, homework, church and now rehersals, it's crazy! I play 2 diffrent people in 2 different scenes. So i am the Waitress/Rich Woman (Try saying that 3 times fast)
Another cool thing i am doing this year is i pick up all the money i find lying around on the ground. Today alone i found bout $1.75! Other people have also been giving me money they find. My friend Julia has been filling up a Piggy Bank and she says it's almost full. I put all the money away and save it for the 30 hr. famine. I counted all the money and not including todays stuff, i had $9.75.
